MAN & WIFE = LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

MAN & WIFE = LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT  by LaShawnda Jones “My goal with the two-projects-that-are-really-one, is to make them complimentary to each other. I have no desire for The Helper to outshine The Worker. Nor do I want The Worker to dominate The Helper. Just as in life and in marriage, the two should be both bearers of light and reflections ofContinueContinue reading “MAN & WIFE = LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT”

Film: UNCONDITIONAL

Unconditional is a lovely story about a woman’s recovery from hopelessness, a young girl finding her voice after trauma took it from her and a community of children claiming a man as their Papa Joe. It’s also a story of a man who remained a friend and a warrior for those under his care. IfContinueContinue reading “Film: UNCONDITIONAL”

He Is My Husband…

Have you thought about those relationships where God joins hearts and souls before minds are aligned and vows are spoken? When a man and woman try to catch up to what God has ordained as their union? When they struggle to grasp the totality of His promise? How difficult that must be for each to know the end result and to continue to sink in the minutia of process, continually getting lost in the labyrinth of selfish independent will (independent of God’s will).

But, doesn’t that describe the bulk of intimate relationships? We all connect to our significant other in some way, on some level, long before our thoughts and our will align and operate in unity. The life of a relationship is intended to flow towards total unity… into oneness.

Pop Culture v. The Bible: OBAMA + MARRIAGE EQUALITY

I do believe homosexuality is a sin. God’s word says so. But I also believe that a homosexual person has the right to choose their life-path and live how they choose to live. From the beginning of time to this day, God has not stripped one person of the responsibility of choosing between life and death. Nor has He burdened anyone but Jesus Christ with another person’s sin. We all will stand accountable for our own choices in life; therefore we have the right to decide how we live our life. If a person chooses to spend their life with a person of the same gender, it is their God-given right to make that decision.

Governments should not make personal decisions for anyone. Church’s cannot make this decision for anyone.

Stand Bold Against the Spirit of the Antichrist

March 14, 2012Haifa, Israel For they are traveling for the Lord, and they accept nothing from people who are not believers. So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth.  ~ 3 John 7-8, NLT Last night, I heard a passionate message about standing firm against IslamContinueContinue reading “Stand Bold Against the Spirit of the Antichrist”

Women in the Bible: RUTH

Ruth is the leading character in this book, which is named after her. The name Ruth means “mercy.” The story shows that God’s grace and mercy extend beyond Israel to include all peoples.

The religious truths found in this book relate more to practical life than to abstract theology. Loyalty, love, kindness, the value of persons, and the need to understand one another stand out. In the midst of the chaos then in the land, meaning could be found by returning to the first principles of simple truth. The book of Ruth tells us that no matter how bad things may be, goodness can exist, if we are willing to make the effort. [Follow the link to read the full article.]

Song & Verse: Whitney Houston & The Greatest Love of All

Love evolves. Love stretches us. It grows us. It teaches us. Love is more than an emotion and a feeling – it’s a way of life. Where would I be today without love? Without learning that love lives in me? Without learning that I can offer love as a gift? Without learning that I can accept love as a peace offering to heal a relationship? Where would any of us be without love?

The life of Jesus is by far the greatest example of the process of love and its evolutionary results. Jesus was given to the world first as a seed in a young woman’s womb. He was nurtured as a child and educated as a disciple of the One True God, who made Him a leader to the masses. In the process of His physical death, Jesus provided the opportunity for eternal life for every human being. Jesus came for a purpose. He died for a purpose. He rose for a purpose. Jesus was given for a purpose.

For Love.

Pop Culture Messiah

More specifically, I believe human beings are capable of anything. I wanted to believe in Michael’s innocence, but he didn’t adequatelyContinueContinue reading “Pop Culture Messiah”
