“Take up the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, and assign seven priests to walk in front of it, each carrying a ram’s horn.” Then he gave orders to the people: “March around the town, and the armed men will lead the way in front of the Ark of the Lord.”

Womanhood: Evidence of God’s Goodness
A Song & Verse Post: Evidence by Josh Baldwin evidence: the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid Every time Evidence comes on in the car I want to pull over and praise God. Poem: If, in leaving a place…
If, in leaving a place, Those you leave behind Sigh in relief and Give thanks to God For your departure Then you can trust that You offered no good Provided nothing of substance Added no value To the space you vacated. If, in leaving a place, Your absence Brings relief and praise Then your presence mustContinueContinue reading “Poem: If, in leaving a place…”
Give thanks for what you’ve been delivered from
My prayers weren’t elaborate. They weren’t long and scripture based. I knew I wanted to be delivered from it all. I wanted to be saved. I wanted to live free from fear.
Film: A Dream for Christmas (1973)
A Dream for Christmas was made in 1973 but is set in 1950. It should be on a classic Christmas movie rotation every year, but it’s not. It’s a really good story about a family working together through change and challenges. It’s a slice of life and a looking glass into an every day poor African-American experience pre-Civil Rights Movement. Very intriguing. Very warm. Very well done.
ACAD – Giving Thanks: Isaiah 51
I, yes I, am the one who comforts you.
So why are you afraid of mere humans,
who wither like the grass and disappear?
Yet you have forgotten the Lord, your Creator,
the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy
and laid the foundations of the earth.
Will you remain in constant dread of human oppressors?
Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies?
Where is their fury and anger now?
It is gone!
Thank You, Lord.
Thank You, Lord.

ACAD – Praise: Luke 17
Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. {Click to read chapter.}
ACAD – Giving Thanks: 1 Thessalonians 5
And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. {Click to read full chapter.}
ACAD – Giving Thanks: Psalm 147
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. The Lord lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.
Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre! He covers the heavens with clouds; he prepares rain for the earth; he makes grass grow on the hills. {Click to read full chapter.}
