Duality of Man: Strength and Vulnerability

The song is a prayer for God to lead the man – the husband, the father – to be the strength of his family – the provider, comforter and defender – through the grace and power of God. It’s a moving prayer asking for the strength to love with his presence and the best offerings of his life.

It’s such a vulnerable plea, but there’s so much power in it.

Becoming Whole and Holy

Too often the Christian journey is understood simply in terms of becoming like God. While this is an essential component, if we only emphasize this aspect of it, we are likely to develop a spirituality that deemphasizes our humanity. The goal of the Christian spiritual journey is not to become less human and more divine; it is to become more fully human.
