ACAD – Accepted: Isaiah 60
I will appoint Peace as your overseer and Righteousness as your taskmaster. Violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation or destruction within your borders; you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.
Devotional: Prayer for His People
Jesus didn’t ask God to take believers out of the world but instead to use them in the world. Because Jesus sends us into the world, we should not try to escape from the world, nor should we avoid all relationships with non-Christians. I want us to be a church that get better at overcomingContinueContinue reading “Sermon: Jesus Is Now – Jesus Is Unifier”

Over the last few weeks, I’ve had half a dozen or so conversations where some version of the phrase above was used to “explain” or set the table for an explanation of some undesirable situation or turn of events. Often, the conversations have been with Christians. Always, the comment was presented […]ContinueContinue reading “Cheap Words”
Love Anyway: Work in Progress
My heart may lead me wrong, but God won’t. He will always lead me back to where I need to be. A pure heart is better than good intentions.
Quote: …even as we are caught in a web…
…and as I slowly made my way home I understood that even as we are caught in a web of hurt and brokenness, we’re also in a web of healing and mercy. ~ Bryan Stevenson (from Just Mercy)
Sermon: THE END IS THE BEGINNING
Sermon: THE END IS THE BEGINNING
Those who want to save their lives will give up true life. But those who give up their lives for me and for the Good News will have true life. It is worthless to have the whole world if they lose their souls. They could never pay enough to buy back their souls. (Click link to listen.)
