Sermon: THE LIFE OF FAITH

We serve a God who not only speaks to us, but desires intimate conversation with us.

The Life of Faith: Sermon by Pastor William Carol

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.  ~ John 20:31, NLT

Where my help truly comes from…

In the same way, trust comes by seeing someone do what they said they would do. With each action that follows a word/declaration/promise, trust increases. The third woman I spoke to last week complained bitterly about being unable to trust anyone, having no one to turn to for assistance with her children and being weary of inviting anyone into her home for fear of how they would take advantage of her situation. In exasperation, I told her, “At some point, you’re going to have to just decide to trust someone. Before you get to that point, you have to trust yourself. Do you trust yourself?”

Getting Over Yourself to Perform God’s Will for Your Life

Every time I become aware that there is a lapse in my total and complete surrender to God, I verbally reaffirm my desire for Him to use me according to His will. If you haven’t told Him lately how much you love Him, offer yourself fully to Him now and experience His warm embrace.

Stand Bold Against the Spirit of the Antichrist

March 14, 2012Haifa, Israel For they are traveling for the Lord, and they accept nothing from people who are not believers. So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth.  ~ 3 John 7-8, NLT Last night, I heard a passionate message about standing firm against IslamContinueContinue reading “Stand Bold Against the Spirit of the Antichrist”

Song & Verse: One and Only by Adele

From the first time I heard her song, One and Only, I envisioned Jesus serenading me – serenading us all, actually: Come on, let Me be your one and only. I promise I’m worthy to hold in your heart. I know it ain’t easy giving up your heart… but you’ll get all of Me in return – so come on and give me a chance….

Song & Verse: Whitney Houston & The Greatest Love of All

Love evolves. Love stretches us. It grows us. It teaches us. Love is more than an emotion and a feeling – it’s a way of life. Where would I be today without love? Without learning that love lives in me? Without learning that I can offer love as a gift? Without learning that I can accept love as a peace offering to heal a relationship? Where would any of us be without love?

The life of Jesus is by far the greatest example of the process of love and its evolutionary results. Jesus was given to the world first as a seed in a young woman’s womb. He was nurtured as a child and educated as a disciple of the One True God, who made Him a leader to the masses. In the process of His physical death, Jesus provided the opportunity for eternal life for every human being. Jesus came for a purpose. He died for a purpose. He rose for a purpose. Jesus was given for a purpose.

For Love.

Pop Culture Messiah

A Pop Culture vs. The Bible (Re)Post by LaShawnda Jones/My God and Me (FB) on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 7:58pm · I was a doubter. Not that I exactly believed Michael Jackson molested a child. More specifically, I believe human beings are capable of anything. I wanted to believe in Michael’s innocence, but he didn’t adequatelyContinueContinue reading “Pop Culture Messiah”

Seduced by the Enemy, Part 1: Know Thyself, Know Thy Enemy

The word “enemy” can also be misleading, in that it leads one to look outward for danger instead of inward. The spiritual attacks aimed at knocking believers from their walk with God targets the believer’s internal organisms of belief, faith, heart and thoughts. Even though the perpetrator of the attacks is the spirit we know as Satan or the devil or the god of this world, our most dangerous potential enemy is our self.

A Personal Relationship with God is Paramount

I have come to an uncomfortable realization that community – though it is an instruction and goal for God’s people to assemble themselves – community does very little good for the spiritually hungry. If you are seeking God’s word, His will, His guidance, an understanding of who He is and who you are – go straight to His Word. If you’re depending on other people to tell you about God, you’ve already missed Him.
