ACAD – Matthew 28: The Resurrection of Jesus

The Resurrection of Jesus After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was likeContinueContinue reading “ACAD – Matthew 28: The Resurrection of Jesus”

Song & Verse: Worth by Anthony Brown

You thought I was worth saving | So you came and changed my life | You thought I was worth keeping | so you cleaned me up inside | You thought I was to die for |
so you sacrificed your life

So I could be free
So I could be whole
So I could tell everyone I know

ACAD – Praise: Revelation 19

Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in[d] blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. {Click to read chapter.}

I can’t breathe.

How can a people created and preserved in such love, be capable of such hate and injustice? I have no answer, so I sob. Humans are so lucky I am not God. If I were, they would have no hope of salvation or redemption.

Now I am thinking about the Son God gave the world for payment of its sins. Jesus, sweet Jesus who Himself for a time felt forsaken by His Heavenly Father. Jesus, who Himself asked for the cup He had been given to be taken from Him. Jesus, who is the best representation for pure love we have, said:

“Don’t think that I came to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. {Click to read full post.}

ACAD – Giving Thanks: 2 Corinthians 9

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

ACAD – Giving Thanks: 2 Corinthians 4

Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self[d] is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. {Click to read chapter.}

The Apology Line (Short Film)

Very interesting short film – topic, audio and video. But I find the confessions rather cowardly, assuming the people are calling the line to apologize anonymously to a machine in lieu of confessing and apologizing to the people they harmed with their actions. What do you think?

Song & Verse: I LOVE THE LORD

We love each other because God loved us first. If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? And He has given us this command: Those who love God must alsoContinueContinue reading “Song & Verse: I LOVE THE LORD”
