It is important to know that yes, as individuals, we need to be grateful, but as servants we need to be humble. A humble servant is lowly in self-estimation. There is no pride or ego that needs the flattery of gratitude. Humbleness is modesty, but it’s not weakness. A great deal of strength is required to completely set your self aside in service to another.

Just do it – Get Up and Walk!
Perhaps I’ve known the principle of this story from a young age, because I can’t recall a time when I’ve known what I’ve wanted and didn’t act on achieving it or prepare to receive it. I’ve certainly had my low moments when I’ve prayed for help, support, and assistance of any kind; and lower moments when the help I was looking for never arrived. But being low (in spirit, in mind, in encouragement, etc.) never stopped me from standing up straight and moving forward.
Don’t Be Weak Minded… Please!
Let me tell you, that had to be the first time I approached someone I had just met in an unfamiliar environment and tried to provide them with a healing word. And it so happened that it was the first time I got shot down in mid-word for my efforts! I was stunned. And I struggled to not be offended. Belief is a choice. Faith is a choice. Accepting God’s Word is a choice. I can’t be upset with how others choose….
Just do it – Do Whatever He Tells You!
Yeah, that confused “whatwhyhow” is how I first looked at Jesus. His commands didn’t make sense to me. In fact, they seemed impossible. Then I started following His instructions one by one, step by step and I started doing the Word. Wonder of wonders, the Word has changed my life!
“I am the MOST loving, forgiving, and selfless person EVER!”
“And does the master thank the servant for doing what he was told to do? Of course not. In the same way, when you obey me you should say, ‘We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.’” So says Jesus.
Seduced by the Enemy, Part 1: Know Thyself, Know Thy Enemy
The word “enemy” can also be misleading, in that it leads one to look outward for danger instead of inward. The spiritual attacks aimed at knocking believers from their walk with God targets the believer’s internal organisms of belief, faith, heart and thoughts. Even though the perpetrator of the attacks is the spirit we know as Satan or the devil or the god of this world, our most dangerous potential enemy is our self.
Pleasing God While in the World
We work so hard to please God and all our hard work is for naught when we aren’t giving Him what He truly wants. God is a communicator. He has spoken His words and had them written down so we can review and refer back to them at our leisure. As we learn His Word, He wants us to speak it back to Him. In teaching us to speak His word back to Him, He is teaching us to speak to Him directly. His ears are open – He’s ready to listen; He’s ready to answer. He’s ready to speak new words to us… special words.
Names of God

Two Life Living Lessons from Mom
Nearly everything I learned from my mother, I learned from watching her live; observing how she interacted with and treated others. Occasionally, I missed a lesson and took my cues from how people treated her – dismissively, disrespectfully or abusively. When I responded to them in kind, mom would rebuke me with a great deal of irritation….
I AM HE
I’ve come to realize that no man can live up the ideal husband that’s been given to me as a vision… as a heart longing. No man living in the flesh can be all that God calls him to become.
