The thief’s purpose…
The enemy ONLY comes to STEAL, KILL and DESTROY (John 10:10). If you are being attacked, you have something the enemy doesn’t want you to have. However, if you focus on the enemy, you aren’t able to focus on the blessings in your life. That’s what s/he wants! If you are not focused on your blessings, then you are not able to give thanks to the One who has blessed you. When you don’t give thanks, gratitude is short-lived, mercy is not received, and hope is short-sighted. This is why praising God is important when you are under siege. Lift your blessings to God and give Him your battle too. You’re already victorious – the enemy wants to make you forget that.
