Hello Dearest!

I have a quick holiday update for you! I’m participating in two great events this week. If you’re in New York City, I would love to see you. If you’re no where near NYC, you can still visit me virtually and browse my wares online.

Art Show: Artists @ Work

Last year, I was invited by a colleague to see her photography on display at the Employee Art Show at work. This year, I submitted my own photography and one of my images was selected for display at the Henry DeFord III Gallery. The opening reception is Thursday, December 1, 5:00-7:30 pm. The art show runs until March 15, 2017.

If you aren’t able to make the reception, the gallery is in the lobby and accessible for viewing. It’s also free. And of course, all my images are online on my Images+Life blog and you can view them from the comfort of your desk!

That’s me on the left proudly and excitedly dropping off the wrong image to the gallery two weeks ago. 🙂 I call the piece Light of the World (metallic paper mounted in gallery plexiglas). The Art Show Director actually wanted the image on the left, Darkness as Noonday, but asked for Light of the World. Both images are self-portraits and anchor a photo series I’m still working on titled “Selfie-Evaluation: I AM Light“. See more here.

Harlem Holiday Expo

Harlem Park to Park presents Shop Harlem Live Harlem at MIST Harlem on December 3.

I have quite the selection of creative items to choose from – art prints, greeting cards, books, and t-shirts – all my own writing, photography, designs, and compositions. Prices range from $2.00 (matted wallet prints) to $340.00 (mounted gallery prints). You’re sure to find a great gift or a great item to keep for yourself!

Registration is free but required through Eventbrite.
