1. In 2025, I hope to completely finish my home renovation. Getting it to an income-producing stage within the first quarter, would be a salve to all my DIYer wounds. 😫 When I pay off the final contractor, I will call this whole project a success. I’m certainly looking forward to that day.

   I feel after I have the albatross of the house taken care of, I can look forward again. I’ll be able to look beyond what’s needed to get to the end of the renovation. It’s been a much longer road than I anticipated. This project has taken so much more than I would have willingly given had I seen the end from the beginning. But being in the midst of it now, being able to actually see the finish line, makes me so glad for the processes and lessons of this portion of my journey.

   I don’t know what’s next so I certainly can’t plan for it. But I’m confident in knowing I’m well prepared for whatever comes.

   To get me to finished, todays work will include drywalling the back stairway, which includes adding vapor barrier plastic to the outside walls for weather proofing. Installing handrails along the stair case. And installing the interior back door, leading from the kitchen to the back stairwell (upstairs, back door, and basement).

   I have someone coming to look at a roof leak the roofers never corrected.

   All that will keep me busy for the whole weekend. I guess I’ll see what l get done today.
