ACAD – End of the World / Day of the LORD (Joel 3)

Consecrate yourselves for war;
    stir up the warriors.
Let all the soldiers draw near;
    let them come up.
Beat your plowshares into swords
    and your pruning hooks into spears;
    let the weakling say, “I am a warrior.”

ACAD – End of the World / Day of the LORD (Joel 2)

They have the appearance of horses;
they gallop along like cavalry.
With a noise like that of chariots
they leap over the mountaintops,
like a crackling fire consuming stubble,
like a mighty army drawn up for battle.

ACAD – End of the World / Day of the LORD (1 Thessalonians 5)

While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.

Road trip: Riding shotgun

This year has been exhilarating in many ways. I’ve purposefully taken action to change my life into something that represents my heart, spirit, vision and purpose. It’s taking a lot of energy and focus, so much so, I keep thinking I’m failing. However, when I look around after detours, I see that I have not been pushed  off-course. I’m exactly where I need to be.

Paint & Praise: Your Blessings Require Work

Over the last few days, God has reminded me why my time in NYC has been sacred. I’ve long considered my time in NYC to be on-the-job-training for whatever God has in store for me. This is the place He chose to bring me to an understanding of Who HE IS and Who I AM in HIM. He’s been romancing me this week. Gently walking me down memory lane.

ACAD – Remnant: 2 Kings 21

I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. I will cast off the remnant of my heritage, and give them into the hand of their enemies; they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies, because they have done what is evil in my sight and have provoked me to anger, since the day their ancestors came out of Egypt, even to this day.”

ACAD – Remnant: 2 Kings 19

The surviving remnant of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward; for from Jerusalem a remnant shall go out, and from Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

ACAD – Remnant: 1 Kings 22

Ahaziah, son of Ahab, began to reign over Israel in Samaria; he reigned two years over Israel. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of his father and mother[.] He served Baal and worshiped him; he provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger, just as his father had done.
