How deranged does a white male in America have to be before other white males call them out in public and professional forums?
Answer: Off the charts. Beyond comprehension. Certifiable.
As a follow-up to the Milwaukee-based sci-fi author who introduced himself to me last week with a slur in a comment on my site, I’m sharing the disturbing information I’ve learned.
After Patrick S Tomlinson’s (PST) second contact on my site, I reached out to Jackie of Jackie’s Academy. Jackie’s work consists of outing and confronting racists online, while providing educational content on the African American/Black experience in this country. I’ve been following her silently for perhaps six months across platforms.

I asked Jackie if she takes recommendations for her posts about racists. I didn’t want to expend my limited energy on PST. I’m stretched thin and always exhausted. But I wanted him to get what he needed from his sideways approach.
Jackie accepted the recommendation. She posted a week later. Her commentary brought joyful chortles from me. The content she dug up on him, however, is horrifying.

Someone read Jackie’s post about this arsehole and sent her a note of caution.
Someone else sent her a Substack write-up, Ymunkoke: The Ballad of Patrick S. Tomlinson by Brian Keene posted September 1, 2024. Brian is also a writer who has engaged with PST through shared acquaintances and writing conferences. Despite being extremely disturbed by Patrick S Tomlinson’s attacks on a female writer in their circle, Brian repeatedly informs his readers that PST is also a victim, even though his victimhood does not exonerate him from violating and threatening women.
Patrick is an AirBnB host, a failed stand-up comedian, and a midlist science-fiction writer whose career is in decline. He first came to my attention a year or so ago, when some friends who are prominent science-fiction writers, editors, and publishers (and who I won’t name here because they wish to avoid his nonsense) mentioned him to me. Patrick alleges that he is being “targeted by a cyber criminal death cult” and is “in fear for his life and the lives of his family members” and has been Swatted “over 50 times”.
What’s curious is that, to date, there has been no evidence (to the best of my knowledge) to back up his claimed number, other than news articles about him. Those news articles echo his claims, but their source for the claims is Rick himself. ~ Brian Keene
PST, his wife and possibly others have been sending threatening emails to Jackie since she posted her findings about him. He’s using multiple names, email accounts and phone numbers.
From victim to perp to victim
I spent time at a local small business community space this week and shared this situation with an old acquaintance there. She told me that many of the Black Women business owners in the space had been targeted with racial slurs via their websites as well. Some of them posted on FB about it and received emails with similar language to what I received yesterday from PST, see below. Note: I have not met these women yet or seen their screenshots. There may be future updates to this.

Jacob Ward and Lora Kolodny wrote, “The FBI has formed a national database to track and prevent ‘swatting’“ for NBCNews.com featuring “victim” Patrick S Tomlinson and his wife Niki Robinson. Across social media platforms and media outlets, PST has claimed victim status from phantom perpetrators intent on smearing his name and demolishing his peace. He claims to be in fear of his life. In reading a number of articles about this lunatic, most of the white authors come across as extremely sympathetic and deeply uncurious about why anyone would go through the hassle and risk of swatting anyone dozens of times for no apparent reason. According to PST, his online foes came out in force when he tweeted his opinion that Norm MacDonald wasn’t funny. How unserious can he get while putting his household and neighbors in the cross hairs of SWAT Teams?
Nearly all of the articles I’ve read about PST have a variation of, “Poor guy. Over 40 SWATting incidents! Oh, no! Now over 50 SWATting incidents! How can he possibly close his eyes at night?”
Kolodny and Ward focused on how Tomlinson was a victim of SWATting. Nothing was alleged. However, he is very actively cyberstalking Black Women business owners in Milwaukee, WI right now. I’ve been dragged into his clown show because he somehow came across my name and knocked on my internet door.
He treated these incidents as entertainment content for his followers. How’s that for “terrified victim?”
Either way, he’s a media hog creating extremely violent opportunities to get in front of media outlets and a super broad audience.
My interpretation from a days worth of exposure to his outrageous ridiculousness is that he SWATted himself. He’s done it so many times, the police started to simply leave a card indicating they came, saw and left with no contact.
I believe his story of being a SWATting victim is a fabricated cover so he can point a finger at an unknown adversary after he attempts to terrorize women or anyone he doesn’t think will be heard or seen. Online commentaries state he SWATted himself to force an inappropriate police response in order to sue the Milwaukee Police Department for a large payday. Either way, he’s giving me Jeffrey Dahmer vibes and I am now curious about unsolved murders in Milwaukee.
And yes, PST is already linked to an unsolved murder in Milwaukee. A man with the initials “BT.” Note here that PST said in a couple of his messages to Jackie that he would BT her. Follow the link to read the collected evidence.
Bernell Trammell was murdered July 23, 2020 in Milwaukee by an unknown assailant seen riding off on a bike. PST posted about him two years earlier. They lived in or frequented the same neighborhood.
SWAT-for-hire service on Telegram
On April 16, 2023, in his Upstream Reviews Substack, Michael Gallegher posted, “Waiting for the Knock: TorSwats, a debtor’s exam and the sad last stand of Patrick S. Tomlinson’s hollow crusade.“ The write up is shockingly overripe with damning links, commentary, screenshots and an overview of this prolific internet menace. It also seems to confirm my initial analysis of PST’s deviancy.

In March 2022 PST filed a nonsensical harassement suit against Andrew Nadolski. Nadolski followed PST online and tried to tell him about himself. Below is a hearing transcript. According to Milwaukee court documents, police ruled out PST’s voice on some of the 911 calls, however on at least one call an MPD representative said the call sounded like a recording. Most of the calls indicated violence (hostage, murder, extreme assault) against women and children to get a strong police response. Michael Gallegher’s research re SWAT-for-hire service fits well here.
Even knowing the nature of the calls, PST and his wife, reprimanded the responding police officers for insisting on searching the premises to ensure there were no dead or dismembered bodies on site. For this effort, Niki Robinson and Patrick Tomlinson sued the City of Milwaukee for not taking their word repeatedly that they had not killed anyone in their home.
There were 38 of these 911 calls within the span of two years.

If you search Patrick S Tomlinson’s name now, there’s a higher probability you’ll immediately see “most swatted man in America,” or “swatted over 40 times!” This is now his marketing Schick.
Honestly, it sounds like he’s playing Chicken with the cops.
