Proximity to Power was taken this spring in Montgomery, AL. It depicts the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church and its intentional location a block away from the Alabama Capitol Building. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was preaching at this church as his era of the Civil Rights Movement began. It was a gathering place for marches and demonstrations.
